Speaks Law Firm is growing in the Charlotte, NC area! We are looking for a part-time person who is experienced with understanding medical terminology and treatment, and can help bring value to our personal injury cases! This person will be responsible for reviewing medical records and bills and have a keen eye for accuracy. You must live in the state of North Carolina, preferably in the Charlotte metropolitan area. Responsibilities: • Ability to understand medical record diagnoses and treatment conditions. • Ability to discern if there is missing medical information and understand the billing that occurs with treatment. • Act as an individual contributor and SME, providing medical knowledge, and billing accuracy. This job would be great for a medical student, retired nurse, or someone looking for part-time work that has the necessary skillset. Qualifications: • Must be able to navigate easily between applications and platforms in a paperless environment. • Self-motivation and working autonomously with the workload are key for this role. • Ability to communicate effectively, written and oral, internally and to those outside the firm. • Microsoft Office experience is a must. • Needles (Neos) client management software is highly desirable (but will train the right candidate). • Nursing experience. Compensation: $25 - $30 hourly
