    TGH Special Care Unit – Tampa General Hospital Special Care Unit is an elite team of acute care professionals who treat catastrophically ill, medically complex patients requiring extended acute care. Most patients are ventilator dependent with multiple co-morbidities. If you enjoy working in a challenging multi-disciplinary acute care environment, we need you!     Physical Therapy Assistant responsibilities include, but are not limited to the implementation of the P.T. plan of care utilizing appropriate therapeutic activities to ensure maximal functional outcomes and reporting of patient's reaction to treatment, changes in patient's condition or deviations from the plan of care.

    Job Qualifications:

    Education – Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.

    Experience – Two years of experience in an acute care setting preferred.

    Licensure – Current State of Florida Physical Therapy Assistant licensure

    Certifications – BLS required
