    Special Care Unit at Tampa General Hospital - The Special Care Unit is an elite team of acute care professionals who treat catastrophically ill, medically complex patients requiring extended acute care. Most patients are ventilator dependent with multiple co-morbidities. If you enjoy working in a challenging multi-disciplinary acute care environment, we need you!     Staff occupational therapists are expected to provide occupational therapy services as prescribed by a physician in an acute care setting. The occupational therapists responsibilities include, but are not limited to the administration, interpretation and evaluation of tests and measurements. Planning an Occupational Therapy (OT) program to meet specific goals for improving and restoring function. Patients are adult age through geriatric.

    Job Qualifications:

    Education – Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy

    Experience – Two years of experience in an acute care setting preferred.

    Licensure –Current FL State Licensure as an Occupational Therapist

    Certifications – BLS required

    Master Degree – Preferred
