    Coming to Tampa - Special Care Unit - The Special Care Unit is an elite team of acute care professionals who treat catastrophically ill, medically complex patients requiring extended acute care. Most patients are ventilator dependent with multiple co-morbidities. If you enjoy working in a challenging multi-disciplinary acute care environment, we need you!     Staff physical therapists are expected to provide physical therapy services as prescribed by a physician in an acute care setting. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to performance of initial comprehensive P.T. evaluations, formulation of P.T. plans of care and goals, implementation of appropriate therapeutic activities to ensure maximal functional outcomes, management of support staff, and ongoing evaluation and coordination of patient needs with the healthcare team.

    Job Qualifications:

    Education – Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapy program.

    Experience – Two years of experience in an acute care setting preferred.

    Licensure – Current State of Florida Physical Therapist licensure

    Certifications – BLS required

    Master Degree – Preferred
