    We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as Special Education Aide in the Bellflower, CA area. Join our team and make a difference in students' lives. With a pay rate of $19.00 - $23.00 per hour part-time opportunities aligned with school operating hours, this role offers a chance to contribute positively to the education of students with special needs. Aptus will provide the tools, technology, and support necessary for your success and growth.

    Pay Rate: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

    Location: Bellflower, CA

    Schedule: Part Time (Monday - Friday)

    Requirements:

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum of 60 college units or an AA/AS degree preferred
    • Coursework at an accredited institution of higher education in child development, education and/or psychology is highly desirable
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide one-on-one support to assigned student(s) with diverse learning needs, including academic assistance and/or physical support as required.
    • Maintain consistency in daily routines to support student stability.
    • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during classroom activities and transitions.
    • Communicate effectively with teachers and other staff to coordinate support for students.
    • Foster a gentle and supportive environment for students to encourage positive behavior.
    • Assist students with self-care tasks, including toileting and diaper changes as needed.
    • Attend meetings and training, as scheduled
    • Performs related tasks as required.
