    THE ROLE BBX Teachers are our highest instructional tier. You'll independently lead academic and STEM programs with full ownership of the student experience — from instruction design to implementation. You bring proven experience with diverse learners, including neurodiverse students and those with IEPs and 504 plans, and you know how to build applied learning experiences that produce real outcomes. We are seeking an energetic and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team! As a Special Education Teacher, you will work with students with academic or physical challenges. Your goal is to recognize their individual educational needs and set them up for long-term academic success. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and dedicated to helping students reach their potential.

    RATIOS We have 3 learning models. Collaborative, Focused and Dynamic/Adaptive. Collaborative (or small group) is planned to be at 5:1 ratio. Focused instruction is at 1:1 and Dynamic/Adaptive which is neurodiversity teaching is at 1:1 with emphasis on various adaptations needed for the student.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Identify student needs and custom education plans which can go hand-in-hand with IEP at the school district

    Contribute to lesson planning and curriculum development

    Modify the educational curriculum to best meet the needs of each student

    Use a range of instructional methods and learning techniques

    Create and enforce classroom rules and procedures

    Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records

    Write and submit necessary reports

    Communicate with parents and school personnel

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or related field.

    Current or Past Special education experience in the state of Texas or any other state.

    Deep understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related disorders

    Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management

    Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Working knowledge of IEP and 504 plan implementation

    Ability to identify and apply learning modalities in instruction
