    Position specific duties include but are not limited to:

    • Conduct small group classes for special education students in compliance with IEP goals and requirements. Conduct small intervention groups for at risk students under the direction of the Special Education Director
    • Review, update and maintain confidential files, maintain confidentiality and security of documentation.
    • Confer and collaborate with all other stakeholders: parents, regular education teachers, support staff and therapists regarding implementation of the IEP and meeting the needs of our students.
    • Provide push-in services as needed for special education students in their regular education classrooms.
    • Schedule and attend meetings and conferences related to special services
    • Attend all staff meetings, in-service training or other presentations that might be scheduled throughout the contract year.

    Qualifications for Teachers:

    • Must be certified in Special Education with endorsements in Specific Learning Disability: Cross Categorical &/or Mild-Moderate.
    • Other endorsements would be helpful.
