At TX-STAR Speech Language Services, we partner with school districts across Texas to support students with diverse learning needs. We are currently hiring Certified Special Education Teachers for school-based opportunities in the Austin area.

This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about inclusive education and want to make a meaningful difference in student outcomes through specialized instruction and support.

What You’ll Do

As a Special Education Teacher, you will provide individualized instruction and collaborate with school teams to support students with a variety of learning needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Implement and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to student needs

• Adapt curriculum, materials, and teaching strategies for accessibility and inclusion

• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on data and outcomes

• Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development

• Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families

• Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and provide input on student goals

• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation

• Utilize instructional tools and assistive technology to support learning

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field

• Valid Texas Special Education teaching certification

• Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education services

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Master’s degree preferred

• School-based experience is a plus
