    Job Description - Special Education Teacher

    Teamwork Therapies is looking for a full-time, part-time, or per diem Special Education Teacher for our Pleasanton location in California. We are seeking highly qualified, motivated, and compassionate individuals to join our dedicated team of Teachers. We encourage dynamic individuals interested in working with children from 18 months to 36 months in a clinic-based Neuro Diverse classroom environment to apply.

    Responsibilities:

    Be responsible for ensuring an educational, caring, and safe environment for the children

    Develop and implement age & developmentally appropriate curriculum

    Familiarity with classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, with the ability to strictly follow them.

    Conduct regular assessments aligned with IFSP goals, utilizing the DAYC-2, and prepare comprehensive assessment reports.

    Report challenges, successes, and competencies of each student to the Director or to parents on a regular basis

    Coordinating with Occupational and Speech Therapists to address the child's needs

    Planning activities in collaboration with teaching assistants and teacher aides

    Supervise assistant teachers in interactions with children and implementation of activities

    Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and able to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively

    Qualification:

    Minimum Education:

    Master’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.

    Completion of 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education (ECE), including Core units (Child Development; Child, Family, Community; Curriculum)

    Minimum Experience:

    2+ years of experience as Special Ed Teachers working with neurodiverse toddlers, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, global developmental delay/disorder, language delay/disorder, etc.

    Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children

    A strong understanding of child development principles, along with best practices in education and classroom management

    Required Certification and/or Registration:

    CPR and First Aid certification for infants, children and adults, or willingness to obtain

    Salary and Benefits:

    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

    Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year for FTE
