About the Role:

ComForCare Home Health Care (North San Diego) is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Caregiver to join their team in San Diego, CA. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with special needs by providing personalized, in-home care and support. Responsibilities:

Provide hands-on personal care and daily living assistance to clients with special needs

Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility

Support clients with developmental, physical, or cognitive disabilities in a compassionate manner

Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's unique needs

Assist with meal preparation, feeding support, and medication reminders

Engage clients in therapeutic activities, social interaction, and skill-building exercises

Monitor and document client health, behavior, and progress, reporting changes to supervisors

Transport and accompany clients to appointments, errands, and community activities as needed

Requirements:

Prior experience as a caregiver, direct support professional (DSP), or in special needs care preferred

Familiarity with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or related conditions

Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Ability to pass a background check and provide professional references

Strong communication, patience, and empathy skills

Ability to work independently and follow detailed care plans
