About the Role:

As a Special Needs Paraprofessional at Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs. Join our dedicated team in Lawrenceville, GA, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children every day!

Responsibilities:

Assist teachers in implementing goals for students.

Provide one-on-one support to students with special needs in classroom settings.

Facilitate communication between students and peers to promote social skills.

Monitor and document student progress and behavior throughout the day.

Help with daily living skills and personal care as needed.

Collaborate with educational staff to create an inclusive learning environment.

Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all students.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.

Experience working with children with special needs is highly desirable.

Knowledge of special education practices and IEP processes.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.

Certification as a paraprofessional (or willingness to obtain).

Background check clearance as required by state regulations.
