Overview
Join a high-acuity interventional team in a full-service acute care facility specializing in cardiovascular, neuro, and radiologic services. As a Special Procedures Technologist , you'll support diagnostic and interventional procedures that directly impact patient outcomes in one of Tennessee’s most advanced cath and special procedures labs.
Responsibilities
Scrub and assist interventional physicians with cardiac and peripheral angiographic procedures
Prepare and maintain sterile fields and trays according to protocol
Administer contrast media and medications per age- and weight-specific guidelines
Start and maintain IV access, accurately document procedures in Meditech and PACS
Monitor hemodynamic data and calculate valve area readings
Safely measure and dispose of radioactive waste in accordance with regulations
Qualifications
* RCIS or RCES from CCI (or ability to obtain within 1 year)
* OR ARRT [RT(R)] with licensure from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
BLS certification (required)
ACLS certification (within 6 months of hire)
Experience: Minimum 1 year in Special Procedures, Cath Lab, or EP Lab preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
