Role Overview: The Special Studies Analyst conducts ad-hoc research and analysis on Special topics, as commissioned by the Government, to support CRAF and commercial airlift program needs.
Responsibilities:
Perform special studies on aviation policy, technology, security, or other relevant topics as directed.
Produce high-quality reports and analyses to address specific government requirements.
Collaborate with industry, academic, or DOD stakeholders as needed for special studies.
Support travel for interviews, engagements, or conferences related to special studies.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Public Policy, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in research, analysis, or consulting, with at least 2 years in aviation, security, or DOD-related projects.
Security Clearance: Active or interim SECRET clearance (Tier 3 Security Investigation).
Flexible expertise to address diverse topics (e.g., aviation policy, emerging technologies).
Strong research and analytical skills for producing high-quality reports under tight deadlines.
Ability to engage with varied stakeholders for data collection.
Availability: Available during normal government hours (7:30 AM–4:00 PM CST, Monday–Friday, excluding federal holidays), with flexibility for travel and study-specific deadlines.
