    Job Description

    The purpose of this job is to oversee day-to-day administration of Pilot’s benefits and retirement programs, ensuring compliance, resolution of issues and an excellent Team Member experience while maintaining vendor relations.

    1. Communicate with plan participants, handling escalated issues and providing support to Team Members
    2. Respond to inquiries regarding technical, compliance and product questions by researching and resolving issues, partnering with the benefits team, IT business partners, HR business partners, ERISA attorney, and others
    3. Conduct detailed audits to ensure the plans are consistently administered and in compliance with Plan documents, internal audit and security requirements, service level agreements and relevant government regulations
    4. Provide support to the Benefits supervisor with US and Canada annual open enrollments and special enrollment periods
    5. Manage projects and high-level processes relating to the administration and support of self-funded benefit programs
    6. Develop practices and processes related to benefits administration that follow policies, laws, and regulations, as well as streamlining to gain efficiency
    7. Maintain and update data for plans and participants
    8. Liaise with ERISA attorney, consultants, and brokers to assist with renewals, plan management and escalated issues
    9. Support leadership in the preparation and execution, with legal consultation, of benefits documentation (e.g., original and amended plan documents, amendments, and other legal document requirements)
    10. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
    11. Ensure all activities follow rules, policies, and procedures
    12. Strong knowledge of ACA, ERISA compliance, COBRA, HIPAA, section 125 plans, DOL and IRS regulations, as well as state and federal laws
    13. Understanding of annual filings, legal notices, and plan documents for both benefit and retirement plans.
    14. Complete other duties as assigned

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or equivalent work experience required
    • Minimum two years’ related experience required; three to five years’ experience preferred
    • Understanding of US benefits and compliance requirements
