    Job Description

    The NBCUniversal Early Careers team recruits and develops the next generation of media and entertainment leaders! As a Specialist on the Early Careers team, you will work with our best in class internship experience and recruitment colleagues to attract the top student talent, as well as highlight the amazing features and programming of the NBCUniversal Internship Program across various social media platforms. You will also partner with key stakeholders to ensure an excellent onboarding and program experience for over 800 interns each year.

    This position will help to develop and manage branding and social media initiatives across the Early Career Recruitment and Internship Experience team. This involves liaising with internal creative groups to leverage NBCU’s brands and creative assets to establish innovative and exciting ways to engage with both our external candidates and the interns we hire.

    In addition to the above responsibilities, this position will play an integral role in the operations of the internship onboarding and offboarding process, partnering with tech teams to provide a seamless end-to-end technology experience to our interns. Operational support also includes I-9 processing, offer letter and new hire paperwork processing, support mailbox monitoring and responsiveness to ensure a positive experience for incoming and outgoing interns.

    This role will also help organize and support internship events and logistics as needed, along with participating in project work to support efforts to enhance the program brand, experience, and developmental efforts. This position will report to the Senior Director, Early Career Recruitment & Experience.

    Responsibilities:

    • Partner with Early Careers team members to generate ongoing content that features both the programming and developmental components of our Internship Program and sufficiently promotes our hiring opportunities.
    • Liaise with Talent Branding and corporate creative teams to adapt company content and brand guidelines to our target audiences.
    • Research and investigate what content resonates with Gen Z students and will enable our team to increase our reach across multiple social platforms.
    • Partner across the team to help create marketing materials, presentation decks, graphics, communication templates, etc. that establish a cohesive look and feel both internally and externally.
    • Prior to each internship semester or recruitment cycle, determine intern giveaway/recruitment swag needs and help design branded items when necessary.
    • Oversee the distribution and retrieval of intern laptops each hiring cycle; partnering with Technology teams to meet intern tech needs and make sure all necessary applications are set up on each intern’s device.
    • Support the intern and supervisor populations by helping to monitor and manage our team mailbox.
    • Lend support to program operations during peak onboarding windows; processing I-9s, generating offer letters, processing change forms submitted by team members as needed.
    • Support planning, execution and breakdown of program events throughout the year.
    • Present, either virtually or in-person, to large intern audiences as part of Internship Program curriculum.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 3+ years of related work experience, including, but not limited to, prior work in talent acquisition, human resources, HR operations, university relations, and/or talent branding
    • Proficient knowledge and experience using Microsoft 365 (particularly Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, & PowerPoint)

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Experience working with early career talent in a corporate setting
    • Ability to manage high volume data with meticulous attention to detail
    • Social media expertise and application in a corporate setting (particularly Instagram and LinkedIn)
    • Graphic design skills for social content and recruitment marketing asset creation
    • Experience using SmartRecruiters
    • Experience using SAP
    • Previous experience as a coordinator or specialist in early careers space
    • Passion for Media, TV, Film & Technology
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment and remain flexible when business needs change

    Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the New York, NY office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
