    Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is for all financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations. Provide leadership and coordination in business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts of the company.

    Responsibilities

    Create, coordinate and evaluate the financial programs and supporting information systems of the company to include budgeting, tax planning and conservation of assets.

    Approve and coordinate changes and improvements in automated financial and management information systems for the company.

    Ensure compliance with local, state and federal budgetary reporting requirements.

    Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure and position control documents, department budgets, general ledger and account maintenance and data entry.

    Preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses and information reports.

    Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing and auditing procedures.

    Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards.

    Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports and recommendations.

    Ensure record keeping systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.

    Responsible for scheduling and reporting during annual financial audits with third party auditors.

    Assist in obtaining the necessary licenses and insurance required to start/maintain business.

    Analyze cash flow, cost controls and expenses to guide business leaders. Analyze financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas.

    Establish and implement short and long range departmental goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures.

    Serve on planning and policy-making committees.

    Represent the company externally to government agencies, funding agencies and the general public.

    Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate department staff.

    Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    MBA or Master’s degree in finance or accounting.

    CPA preferred.

    Minimum of 5 years’ experience in responsible hospital operations at the administrative leadership level.

    Proven track record of exceeding goals with focus on net income line results.

    Working knowledge of CPSI preferred.

    Ability to consistently make sound decisions through a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience and judgement.

    High level of business acumen including successful P&L management; the ability to balance the delivery of programs against the realities of a budget; problem solving, project management and creative resourcefulness.

    Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting and negotiating. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including generally accepted accounting principles. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.

    Exceptional leadership and organization skills.

    Analytic and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate to staff key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals.
