    Position Overview:
    Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a DDDS Specialized Medical Consultant to collaborate with the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DDDS). This role focuses on resolving complex or unique medical cases, adjudicating discrepancies in second opinions, and providing training to adjudicative staff to ensure accurate disability determinations under Social Security regulations.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: MD/DO degree with board certification or specialization in Neurology, Otolaryngology, Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, or General Surgery.
    • Licensure: Active Washington State medical license; must be authorized to practice in WA.
    • Experience: 2+ years of post-graduate specialty training; 5+ years of DDDS consultation experience (strongly preferred).
    • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in medical record interpretation, ancillary test ordering/review, and federal disability guidelines.
    • Soft Skills: Strong critical thinking, mentorship abilities, and collaborative communication.
    • Additional Requirements: No exclusion from federal healthcare programs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Review and adjudicate highly complex or specialized medical cases.
    • Provide expert consultation and training to DDDS adjudicative staff.
    • Order and interpret ancillary medical tests to resolve case discrepancies.
    • Ensure strict compliance with DDDS protocols and federal regulations.
    • Participate in quarterly meetings to refine adjudication processes.
