    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly motivated Specialty Pharmacy Sales Representative to drive growth by developing and managing relationships with physicians, clinics, and hospital systems. This individual will serve as a trusted resource to providers, educating them on our services, improving patient access to therapy, and ensuring a seamless experience from prescription to delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

    ** Provider Engagement & Relationship Building**

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians, specialists, office staff, and hospital stakeholders
    • Conduct regular in-person and virtual visits (“detailing”) to targeted accounts
    • Identify key decision-makers within practices and health systems

    ** Business Development**

    • Generate new referral sources and expand existing accounts
    • Execute territory plans to achieve prescription and revenue growth targets
    • Identify opportunities within specialty areas (e.g., oncology, transplant, rheumatology, neurology, etc.)

    ** Education & Value Communication**

    • Educate providers and staff on pharmacy services, patient support programs, and clinical capabilities
    • Communicate value propositions such as prior authorization support, financial assistance navigation, adherence programs, and outcomes tracking
    • Stay current on therapies, payer trends, and specialty drug pipelines

    ** Care Coordination**

    • Act as liaison between provider offices and internal pharmacy teams (intake, billing, clinical)
    • Ensure smooth onboarding of new referrals and troubleshoot issues proactively
    • Support offices with workflow optimization related to specialty prescriptions

    ** Account Management**

    • Track referral trends, account performance, and territory metrics
    • Maintain CRM documentation of activities and opportunities
    • Collaborate with leadership on strategic account plans

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
    • 3–7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or specialty pharmacy sales
    • Proven experience calling on physicians, specialty clinics, or hospital systems
    • Strong understanding of specialty pharmacy workflow (prior auths, benefits investigation, etc.)
    • Established relationships in relevant specialties (highly preferred)
