    Job Description

     

    FINANCIAL ANALYST

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The desired candidate will have prior financial and/or accounting education and/or experience, preferably working in a medical device company. This position requires strong analytical and reporting skills with solid attention to detail. The candidate will work closely with the Company’s CFO and Controller and will interface with all levels of management and the Board of Directors. Specific experience and responsibilities will include, but not limited to: creating cash flow and cash forecasting reports; summarizing related data and developing monthly and quarterly reports for presentation to management and the Board of Directors detail.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Compile and analyze financial reports

    · Obtain and develop monthly reporting schedules for Company’s subsidiaries

    · Develop models for new business opportunities

    · Provide monthly reporting package to management

    · Provide cash flow and cash forecasting reports

    · Develop forecasting tools and forecasts for future periods

    · Report creation and generation using Company’s ERP system

    · Capture performance metrics and summarize in monthly reporting to management

    · Maintain Excel schedules

    · Learn Company’s ERP System and become proficient

     

    DESIRED SKILLSET:

    · Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting, MBA preferable (prior experience working in finance or accounting, as an intern would be beneficial) or working in a similar accounting or finance role, preferably in the medical device industry

    · Ability to read and analyze financial reports

    · Proficient in MS Office Suite with solid skills using MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

    · Strong mathematical and analytical skills

    · Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail

    · Ability to learn ERP/MRP systems, NetSuite experience helpful

    · Possess excellent organizational, verbal, written communication and problem-solving skills

    · Possess above-average interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to work with others in a professional, positive and collaborative manner

    · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet tight deadlines

    · Willingness to learn, possess a can-do attitude, and motivated to succeed and grow

    · Experience working in a start-up environment, helpful

    · Ability for minimal travel (less than 10%)
