    Job Description

    Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a RECRUITING MANAGER.  

    THE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

    • Provides leadership and direction to the team and obtains recruitment results for new projects and overdue openings
    • Establishes priority recruitment projects in conjunction with Dir Recruitment/Ops and Client Relations staff and ensures administration of responsibilities to each member of the team
    • Provide management oversight for the Recruiters within the area assigned.
    • Ensures all positions are filled as directed based on the priorities established via the Dir Recruitment/Ops and Client Relations Managers
    • Provides positions status reports to Client Relations Manager and Dir Recruitment/Ops, as needed
    • Coordinates recruiting workload and staffing requirements during high volume or vacation scheduling
    • Provides recruiting expertise on specific openings and may act as backup to the Recruitment staff
    • Recruits Physician and APC staff within appropriate time frames based on established performance standards.
    • Generates leads via networking, cold calling, resume mining, attend job fairs, email blasts, referrals and other sources. Initiates marketing activities to include adverting on the internet and newspaper.
    • Make connections with professional associations and attends conventions, residency program receptions, etc. to establish links with medical academies and referral networks with other professional locums companies concentrated in other specialties.
    • Screens/Interviews prospective candidates via telephone and in person at the organization’s offices and client sites.
    • Work collaboratively with the credentials department to quickly send a completed credentials packet to the customer. Although not responsible for the administrative work associated with completing the credentials packet, the recruiter will take the lead role in coordinating prompt response from the candidate and ensuring the packet is moving through the process.
    • Ensure that all newly hired site staff have signed contracts and required minimum credentials in house prior to starting.
    • Maintains recruiting database by entering candidate data in a timely manner to include the applicate tracking progress.
    • Maintains accurate records on recruiting efforts and enters into the recruiting database and other reporting as assigned.
    • Works with the Provider Relations Specialist to ensure a smooth transition of the candidate upon start of position.
    • Assists in operational planning by gathering competitive information on provider and nursing pricing and benefits.
    • Assists in evaluating information for marketing bids.
    • Assists in the training and development of the recruitment team to include new recruitment staff.
    • Initiates correspondence to potential candidates by providing information to physicians about new client facilities and the organization’s policies.
    • Assists in investigating and developing marketing techniques to improve recruiting and the organization’s name and recognition, including techniques geared toward private practitioners, fellowship programs, and third-year residents, as needed and assigned.
    • Works with Spectrum leadership and Marketing to identify new and refine existing recruitment sources for increased leads and connections.
    • Assists in backfilling Director of Operations and Recruitment when needed.
    • Acts as a leader and example in provider recruitment results and compliance.
    • Has periodic on-call responsibility to handle problems, schedule changes/cancellations, etc., during nights, weekends, and some holidays.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • 8+ years recruiting experience; physician, healthcare, or agency recruiting experience preferred
    • Advanced proficiency in various computer applications, e.g. word processing, excel spreadsheet, e-mail, database management and presentation software
    • Ability to handle stress
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
    • Ability to handle confidential data
    • Ability to adapt to change
    • Above average communication skills including negotiation skills; must be persistent and persuasive
    • Must be able to establish rapport and effective working relationships with physicians and hospital administrators
