    ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT / RETIREMENT PLAN ADMINISTRATION

     

    Spectrum Pension Consultants, Inc. (http://www.spectrumpension.com/about-us) is seeking an experienced and motivated associate consultant to join our team. The Plan Administration specialist role focuses primarily on retirement plan administration and compliance for our professional service teams. Responsibilities include managing the annual administration process and plan document maintenance for approximately 125+ client retirement plans (primarily defined contribution / 401(k) plans). Successful execution of this role will include collaboration with other service team members, other plan administration specialists, and outside partners.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

     

    • Annual Client Data Collection and Database Updates

    • Contribution Calculation

    • Routine Compliance Testing

    • Trust Accounting

    • Form 5500 Preparation and Filing

    • Annual Management Reports

    • Preparation of Retirement Plan Documents, including Amendments

     

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE

     

    • Basic retirement plan recordkeeping support

    • New client origination and transition support

    • Plan sponsor and participant support services

    • Other support duties as needed

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

     

    • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in a professional or technical field: accounting, finance, engineering, mathematics etc.)

    • 1-2+ years of related work experience

     

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

     

    • Understanding of retirement plan administration processes and functions

    • FIS Relius Administration, FIS Relius Documents, FIS Relius Government Forms, Crystal Reports a plus

    • Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, DocuSign a plus

    • Microsoft Office 365 productivity software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, OneNote)

    • NIPA or ASPPA credentials (e.g. QKA) a plus
