THEY REPRESENT MUD BAY WHILE IN AND AWAY FROM OUR RETAIL STORES, GAINING CUSTOMERS ALONG THE WAY. DELIVERY DRIVERS ARE FLEXIBLE, FRIENDLY, AND FOCUSED ON PROVIDING EVERYONE THEY SEE OR DELIVER AN OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE.
THE WORK WE EXPECT OUR HOME DELIVERY DRIVER TO DO INCLUDES...
Delivering a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes daily
Follow routes and time schedules effectively.
Being able to navigate GPS and routing tools daily
Picking orders for customers and verify orders picked by store staff for accuracy
Loading, unloading, preparing, inspecting, and operating a delivery vehicle
Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and attractiveness of delivery area and vehicles.
Working well independently without a leader present at all times
Being efficient and timely without sacrificing an excellent customer service experience
Providing a happy and gracious experience for all customers in their communities
Making decisions based on sound judgment and Mud Bay’s mission and values
Possessing an open mind and thriving in an environment of uncertainty
Helping their team learn and grow by providing feedback and open communication often.

Providing support to the store when available (e.g., before or after delivery duties are complete). Responsibilities in the store include:

Performing transactions at the point of sale accurately and efficiently.
Enjoying learning and wanting to learn continuously about dogs, cats, and small animals
Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and attractiveness of the store's sales and support area.
Maintaining inventory, including receiving, rotating, restocking, and facing.

THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR TO BECOME OUR DELIVERY DRIVER MUST BE...
18 years or older
Able to lift 45 pounds
Competent with basic math and comfortable using computers, calculators, and 10 keys
Passionate about continuously learning about dogs, cats, and small animals
Able to provide:
Able to operate our Company Transit Vehicle.
If the transit is in not available due to mechanical reasons the driver will need to be able to use their own vehicle temporarily and will be reimbursed for mileage at the MB standard rate.
Proof of valid Driver’s License in the state you will be working in WA or OR and full coverage car insurance.
A personal driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving
Access to a smartphone for GPS and route tracking/management via a dedicated app
