THE BEACH CLUB RESTAURANT MANAGER
The Restaurant Manager responsibilities include planning, organizing, directing and coordinating resources of the Coast Restaurant for the efficient, well-prepared, and profitable service of food and beverages. Provide a professional, friendly and efficient high quality service to customers. Consistently maintain quality food service and sales, meet health code requirements. Coast Restaurant, which is open for dinner service only, offers casual, upscale dining with a one of the best gulf views on the coast!
Essential Duties:
Provide efficient and effective service to customers and exceed wherever possible.
Demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic, committed and flexible attitude towards customers and other team members.
Serve as point of contact for customer inquiries, dealing with these through to a successful outcome.
Monitor staff performance to maintain clean food preparation equipment, work areas and counters or tables
Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes and garnishing and presentation of food to maintain superior qualities.
Conduct inventories and maintain supplies for designated work areas and reorder as needed
Schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents in order to verify product quality and quantity.
Organize and direct workers during work shift.
Review work procedures and operational problems in order to determine ways to improve service, performance and/or safety.
Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and serving.
Know how to perform all tasks associated with restaurant services and catering functions
Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service.
Work with other management personnel to plan marketing, advertising, and any special restaurant functions.
Develop/implement procedures to provide outstanding service while meeting budgetary requirements
Know Beach Club emergency and safety procedures
Perform other assigned duties as needed
Required Skills:
Minimum 4 years work experience managing restaurants, preferably in a resort or upscale restaurant.
Above average computer skills to include knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, POS systems and the ability to learn property specific programs
Excellent customer service/hospitality skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Knowledge of budgeting, ordering, inventory
Strong problem resolution skills
Process oriented and excellent organizational skills
Ability to promote teamwork and motivate team
Knowledge of governmental regulations including liquors laws, health department requirements, OSHA
-ServSafe Certification or ability to become ServSafe certified
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand/walk for entire shift
Ability to move/lift up to 40 lbs as needed
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel
Must possess valid driver license and acceptable driving record
Must be able to work outdoors in hot, inclement weather as needed
