  • Responsibilities

    ACCOUNTING INTERN

    Position Summary: This position assists the Accounting team in processing deposits, mail, performing cash audits, and other assigned duties. As an intern, the team member will be exposed to accounting in all aspects of a resort property. Candidates must be required by their school to complete an internship.

    Process Outlet Deposits

    Handle Incoming/Outgoing Mail

    Reconcile Outlet Receipts

    Process Change Orders and Petty Cash Reimbursements

    Collect Cash Drops from Safe Drops at Club and Accounting Area

    Perform bi-weekly physical cash audits for the Accounting safe

    Assist in posting payments for HOA and PMS

    Assist with filing as needed

    Other duties/special projects as assigned by Controller or Assistant Controller

    Required Skills

    Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite with a strong knowledge of Excel

    Prior cash handling experience, preferred

    Must understand confidentiality and have the ability to handle sensitive situations

    Ability to work in a team environment

    Excellent customer service skills

    Excellent communication skills both oral and written

    Must be attending college that requires an internship

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to sit at a computer/phone for entire shift

    Ability to lift/move up to 20 lbs

    Ability to work in a busy environment
