Job Description

Spectrum Software Technology (SST) is currently seeking a highly motivated Jr Test Engineer for our civil aviation programs. This is a 4-6 month contract with a good chance of going long term. Great benefits that start day one. BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field with 2+ years of experience is preferred. Will substitute additional education for experience. Recent grads with related internships are also encouraged to apply.

This position is located at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)’s William J. Hughes Technical Center adjacent to the Atlantic City International Airport, New Jersey. Temporarily Remote.

Duties:

· Support with testing and analyzes network systems development including integration, systems testing, probability testing, field test plans and customer acceptance plans to maintain the credibility/viability of the system

· Document test discrepancies and author change requests as required

· Maintains existing test processes and documentation to ensure adequate record-keeping and knowledge-sharing

· Organize and maintain baseline regression procedures in support of operational releases

· Investigate and report complex operational matters of significance in conjunction with other engineering and technical support to ensure cost effective and efficient resolution to problems

· Support leads with clients on complex systems; determines system requirements; recommends process and/or programs, coordinates project team and follows through on implementation

· Support Test Team in developing test plans, procedures and tools

· Conducts customer-witnessed testing

· Support Operational patch testing, includes system and adaptation changes

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or related

3 years of technical experience, previous internships and PT work apply. Will also substitue MS degree for 2 years of experience.
