Our LNP Specialists manage the critical and time-sensitive day to day operational components of the number porting process. This includes Local Number Portability (LNP), Directory Assistance/Directory Listings (DA/DL), Caller ID (CNAM), and telephone back office operations. This also includes porting related customer service interactions throughout the term of our business relationship with our customers.
An ideal candidate will be an extremely organized leader with a goal-oriented high personal level of excellence. Candidates must have the ability to assess situations quickly and creatively with the tools they have acquired from their previous (required) telecommunications experience.
LNP SPECIALIST DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Internal POC for each department within our organization during the customer's onboarding process.
- Assist and resolve customer's porting inquiries during the onboarding process and when additional porting services are needed after onboarding is complete.
- Work closely with our various carriers and maintain open lines of communication with them daily.
- Prepare Port Orders (Local Service Requests/LSRs) utilizing multiple service provider applications and various carrier interfaces.
- Revise, initiate, submit, process, correct, follow up, and complete all porting activity for Local DIDs, International DIDs, Toll Free Numbers and Cellular orders.
- Consistent monitoring of all port orders to ensure Firm Order Confirmation/Commitment (FOC) is received within the industry's regulated timeframes and ensure specific porting dates are met as requested to accommodate customers to the best of your ability.
- Manage internal systems and update milestones and timelines to communicate your progress throughout the process of the port.
- Provide guidance and feedback to various teams as well as customers regarding project schedules to identify when each task will be performed and to identify risks.
- Quickly troubleshoot and resolve porting escalations from customers, sales, onboarding, and other support teams at any time through phone, chat, cases, and/or e-mails.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years in LNP/ number portability experience is preferred
- 2+ years telecom experience is required
- High School Diploma or GED is required. Associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred
- Solid time management and organizational skills
- Ability to be a team player and be comfortable working within a fast-paced environment
- Must display mature judgment and the ability to work independently and efficiently
- Handling of escalation calls and de-escalating customers in a professional manner
- Must be able to handle urgent and multiple tasks and projects and prioritize them accordingly
- Must exhibit professionalism and a positive attitude and enjoy working directly with customers and various teams internally
- Must be dependable and able to work a Monday through Friday 8am-5pm work schedule, with some flexibility when needed
