  • Responsibilities

    Cedar Park Group is looking for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist Assistant for an immediate opening.

    Board-licensed SLP-Assistant needed. Must possess the skills and competency to create therapy materials, conduct therapy, administer simple screeners, and document services.

    Qualifications

    • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, normal communication development, phonetics, developmental psychology, and various types of disabilities seen in pediatric speech-language disorders.
    • Experience in behavioral management practices
    • Administering speech-language screening, therapeutic protocols, and observation charts
    • Experience working with clinical-educational equipment and materials
    • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records
    • Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
    • Must have passing score on a North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists approved competency test.

    Responsibilities

    • Design and implement treatment plans, provide in-person and document therapy services.
    • Provide supplemental aids and services (consultation) and documentation of these services by the speech-language pathologist.
    • Conduct therapy, conduct observations, administer simple screeners, and document services.
    • Conduct an in-person comprehensive evaluation as well as virtual assessments.
    • Utilize standard and non-standardized assessments.
    • Collaborate with other providers.
    • Interpret the results of the evaluation
    • Provide written reports based
    • Manages behavior using appropriately designed management techniques
