    Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Home Health

    A leading provider of home health and hospice services is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their team in San Diego County.     Responsibilities

    • Conduct patient evaluations, including assessment of home environments and identification of necessary equipment for speech and language function.

    • Diagnose speech disorders and develop individualized care plans to improve patient communication abilities.

    • Administer speech therapy treatments utilizing specialized techniques and equipment.

    • Recommend and assist with communication devices when appropriate.

    • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

    • Attend meetings and training sessions to support coordinated care efforts.

    • Prepare and maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation according to agency policy.

    • Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and skills in speech-language pathology.

    • Identify the need for and refer patients to additional healthcare or community services as appropriate.

    • Educate patients, families, and healthcare personnel on treatment plans and speech therapy practices.

    • Supervise home health aides in delivering speech-language therapy activities.

    • Meet productivity targets based on business needs.

    • Perform other duties to support speech-language pathology services as needed.

    Requirements

    • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program, including an internship.

    • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

    • Minimum of one (1) clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology.

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

    • Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance meeting state minimum requirements, and access to a reliable vehicle, as this is a traveling position.

    Compensation: $60 - $62 per hour
