    Speech-Language Pathologist - Outpatient SLP | Full-Time | Corning, NY

    Job Responsibilities

    • Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and assessments for pediatric and adult patients based on physician referrals
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting communication disorders, speech delays, language impairments, and swallowing dysfunction
    • Deliver direct speech therapy services in an outpatient clinical setting to improve patient outcomes and functional independence
    • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate holistic patient care
    • Provide patient and family education on treatment goals, therapeutic techniques, home exercise programs, and communication strategies
    • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation including evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards
    • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives, case conferences, in-service training, and continuing education opportunities
    • Contribute to the development and expansion of innovative speech-language pathology programs and community outreach services

    Job Requirements

    • Master's degree or clinical doctorate from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program (ASHA-accredited)
    • Eligible for or currently holds New York State Speech-Language Pathologist licensure and registration
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
    • One to two years of hospital-based or outpatient clinical experience preferred; new graduates and CFY candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required within 90 days of hire)
    • Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and therapeutic intervention skills
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education abilities
    • Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care
