The Position
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) works as an integral member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, providing high-quality speech, language, and swallowing therapy services to older adults in Methuen, MA. This position is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders to help participants improve or maintain their functional abilities and overall quality of life.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary Range: $81,000–$100,000 annually (based on experience)

Responsibilities
- Conduct initial speech and swallowing evaluations, develop treatment plans, and implement appropriate interventions
- Coordinate speech and swallowing services related to patient care and interdisciplinary treatment planning
- Document evaluations, progress notes, and care summaries in compliance with policy standards
- Participate in care planning, team meetings, and family conferences as needed
- Provide education and training to participants, caregivers, and staff regarding therapy programs and home carryover
- Perform cognitive, linguistic, and swallowing assessments as referred by the medical team
- Assist with the development of procedures, workflows, and process improvements
- Contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and ethical standards
- Frequent local travel required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited college or university
- Current Massachusetts SLP license
- 1+ year of clinical or healthcare experience working with older adults
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Ability to pass a fit test (position may require use of a sealed face mask)
- COVID-19 vaccination required (or valid exemption)
