SOS Personnel is seeking a qualified and dedicated Speech-Language Therapist to provide special education services at St. Stephens Indian School. This opportunity is ideal for a licensed professional who is passionate about supporting students with disabilities and contributing to a multidisciplinary educational team.
Position Overview:
Duration: 16 weeks, 4 days per week, 7 hours per day
Onsite services required
Serve approximately 13 students with individualized needs under IDEA
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech/language therapy and assessments for students referred for evaluation
Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
Provide recommendations, documentation, and progress reports
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals
Implement goals to remediate speech and language deficits
Prepare required documentation including evaluations, observations, and quarterly reports
Present information and support staff training related to speech and language development
Minimum Requirements:
Active, unrestricted license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in any U.S. state or territory
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
At least 5 years of school-based experience with demonstrated knowledge and skill
Ability to work independently and meet all documentation and reporting requirements
Must pass a background check and security clearance
Completion of all required BIE training
Required Deliverables (during the contract period):
Daily: Student file updates
Monthly: IEP goals/objectives & assessment documentation
Quarterly: Student progress reports
