    Job Overview

    We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our assisted living community in Lakeland, Florida. This full-time position is ideal for a graduate clinician looking to complete their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and obtain their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).

    We provide comprehensive CFY supervision and mentorship to help you launch a successful career in geriatric speech therapy while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. Our ideal candidate will continue working with us past oversight and will be compensated accordingly as a CCC-SLP.

    Duties

    • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing assessments
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for residents
    • Provide therapy services for dysphagia, cognitive-communication disorders, voice disorders, and speech impairments
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including nursing, dietary, and medical staff
    • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
    • Participate in care plan meetings and family conferences
    • Work toward obtaining CCC-SLP certification under qualified supervision

    Required Skills

    • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
    • Florida SLP license or eligibility for licensure
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Compassionate approach to working with elderly population
    • Reliable and professional demeanor

    Desired Skills

    • Clinical experience or coursework in geriatrics, dysphagia, or medical speech pathology
    • Interest in long-term care or assisted living settings
