Per Diem Speech-Language Pathologist (Pediatric Feeding Therapist)

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with pediatric feeding therapy expertise to join our in-home care team in San Antonio. This flexible, per diem role is ideal for a clinician who wants to make a meaningful impact on children and families while enjoying a supportive, values-driven work environment.
Role Overview
As a Pediatric Feeding Therapist, you will provide evidence-based evaluation and treatment for infants, children, and adolescents with feeding and swallowing challenges. You will develop individualized treatment plans, educate families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to help children safely eat, drink, and communicate.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments of feeding, swallowing, and oral-motor function.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using best practices and, when appropriate, VitalStim® Therapy or other neuromuscular electrical stimulation techniques.
Deliver in-home therapy to improve safety, efficiency, and enjoyment of eating and drinking.
Educate families on home exercises, safe swallowing strategies, and diet modifications.
Maintain clear, timely documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory and agency standards.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other care providers to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Current Texas SLP license (or eligibility).
Certification in VitalStim Therapy or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
Experience in pediatric feeding therapy and dysphagia management.
Current CPR certification and ability to pass a background check.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Compensation & Benefits
Per diem pay: $85 per evaluation, $80 per re-evaluation, $70 per treatment visit.
