    Job description:

    OVERVIEW & CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    At ABA Therapy Partners, Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) empower students to overcome language, speech, and communication challenges, directly enhancing their ability to thrive in educational and therapeutic programs.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • **Assessment & Diagnosis: **Conduct evaluations, screenings, and formal/informal assessments to identify speech and language needs.
    • IEP Development: Design and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's goals and state criteria.
    • Direct Therapy: Deliver targeted individual or group speech therapy sessions to achieve measurable IEP outcomes.
    • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Consult with parents, school personnel, psychologists, and support teams to support holistic student progress.
    • **Documentation & Compliance: **Maintain accurate IEP records and Medi-Cal billing in alignment with state and ABA Therapy Partners standards.

    Professional Growth: Participate in continuing education and staff development provided by ABA Therapy Partners.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education & Credentials

    • Degree: Bachelor's degree in a related field required (Master's in Special Education preferred).
    • Credentials: Valid California Teaching Credential and Speech-Language Pathology Specialist Credential.
    • Skills: Bilingual (Spanish) or sign language skills desirable.

    Core Competencies & Experience

    • Special Education Knowledge: Understanding of district, state, and federal special education laws and policies.
    • Student Support: Experience working with autistic, behaviorally challenged, or severely handicapped students preferred.
    • Assistive Technology: Experience with alternative communication systems and adaptive tools highly desirable.
    • **Communication & Organization: **Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to manage documentation independently and work collaboratively within educational teams.
