    Job Description

    SUMMARY: - Office and Customer Service Clerk is responsible for all office coordination and customer service duties; including order initiation and completion of paperwork, proper filing and distribution of all paperwork, and communication with customers, vendors coordination of orders between office and warehouse as well as communication with corporate personnel at various company locations.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensure that incoming calls are properly received and directed as needed
    • Ensure that all incoming visitors are received and directed to proper personnel
    • Properly enter and coordinate all orders from customer initiation through coordination of shipping and completion
    • Properly manage, file, distribute and maintain all office paperwork
    • Provide assistance to all customer or vendor inquiries
    • Properly maintain weekly hourly and attendance report for employees
    • Properly maintain all employee files
    • Properly order all office materials as needed
    • Keep clear and open communication between all areas of the warehouse as well as with corporate personnel at various other locations
    • Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Previous customer service and office experience
    • Professional verbal and written communication skills
    • Solid business and mathematical aptitude
    • Ability to work with others in team environment
    • Commitment to excellence
    • Ability to multitask
    • Above average Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office experience
    • Works well under pressure, requiring little supervision
    • Able to adapt and respond to changing business needs

    • Strong verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills
    • Pleasant phone demeanor

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Minimum 4 years experience in a similar position

    Manufacturing/distribution/production industry experience preferred

    MAS 200 (Sage 100) experience a plus

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand: walk; use hand to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 lbs.

     

    POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

    This is a full-time non-exempt position and the hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with ½ hour for lunch.
