    Spencer Cole is currently seeking an Intern – Technical Writer to support its Fort Worth, TX headquarters offices. This is an unpaid internship. The candidate selected will serve as a member of the Business Development and Marketing Department. Bringing their knowledge and experience of desktop publishing using MS word, publisher, PowerPoint, and MS Visio. Should have marketing/advertising and proposal writing experience. As well as the ability to write to technical documentation. Have knowledge or experience in copywriting, blog, article, white paper in a technical environment. With a strong command of the English language, grammar, and syntax. In this role, the Technical Writer will become an integral part of the development of Spencer Cole’s BD&M Department. This apprenticeship position provides an exceptional educational experience to help build career acumen, which serves as compensation. At the end of the year, apprentices will be evaluated for the overall performance based on work productivity and accomplishments. Spencer Cole will cooperate with colleges and Universities to support apprenticeship credit and scholarship reward opportunities. This apprenticeship can be worked remotely - especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Responsibilities: • Responsible for preparing instruction manuals, journal articles, online documentation and other supporting documents to clients and Staff • Write supporting documents and photographs, drawings, diagram as appropriate • Select the appropriate medium for message or audience, such as manuals or online videos Standardize and revise documents and content across media platforms • Develop, gather, and disseminate technical information among customers, designers, and manufacturers Qualifications: • Undergraduate student pursuing a degree or continuing education certificate in Journalism, English or Communications related field of study • GPA of 3.0 or above required • Must have a strong command of the English language and have excellent writing and editing skill • Apprentice must be able to explain technical ideas in simple language and be familiar with making video tutorials • Experience writing documentation (e.g., case studies, white papers, blogs, articles, etc.) for technical audiences is required • Web design or copywriting experience is a plus • Must be customer-oriented as well as have the ability to operate independently • Candidate must possess excellent analytical and reasoning skills
