    Overview: The primary purpose of this position is to provide essential administrative processes, technical knowledge, and leadership within a specific project area. The role involves overseeing a designated project area, ensuring technical accuracy throughout all project phases, and serving as a representative of the engineering discipline.

    Responsibilities:

    Supervision and Leadership: Under the general supervision of the Discipline Lead Engineer, serve as a Supervising Lead, providing guidance and supervision to other engineers and designers.

    Technical Solutions: Analyze and independently recommend technical solutions for problems of advanced complexity in accordance with project requirements.

    Specification and Design: Develop and review specifications and design criteria.

    Engineering Analysis: Perform and verify engineering analyses and calculations, specify materials, equipment, and systems, and solve technical problems of advanced complexity.

    Coordination: Coordinate technical issues with other disciplines, project management, vendors, and clients.

    Compliance: Execute work in compliance with the Project Quality Plan and procedures, as well as with the approved project scope, cost, and schedule baselines.

    Estimation and Reporting: Develop and review estimates, schedules, and progress reports, including effort-hour estimating and staff forecasting.

    Material Key Quantities: Establish, control, and report on material key quantities, providing analysis and forecasts.

    Technical Support: Provide technical support for activities associated with equipment and material procurement, subcontracting, and construction administration.

    Basic Job Requirements:

    Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science degree in Control Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering field with a minimum of fifteen years of work-related experience.

    Licensure: Professional Engineer license.

    Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes and standards.

    Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including project management, coworkers, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

    Technical Competency: Job-related technical knowledge and advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards.

    Compliance: Ability to perform work in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal codes, statutes, and guidelines.

    Attention to Detail: Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.

    Computer Skills: Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in the use of word processing, email, spreadsheet, and electronic presentation programs. Experience with SmartPlant software is required for this position.

    Experience: Significant experience providing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services on large industrial projects. Proficiency executing large EPC projects utilizing engineering analysis, 3D modeling, and 2D computer-aided drafting and design (CADD) automation tools in a multi-discipline environment.
