Job Summary:

We are seeking a Point Cloud Data Specialist to manage and execute the activities involved in collecting and processing point cloud data for safety-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of change management processes and the ability to perform tasks such as LiDAR point cloud collection, post-processing, data extraction, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, prioritize, and execute the workflows necessary to collect and post-process point cloud data for safety-critical systems.

Understand and adhere to change management processes.

Collect and process LiDAR point cloud data, including post-processing and data extraction.

Perform quality assurance (QA) and control (QC) tasks to verify data collection accuracy.

Compose project status reports in a clear and timely manner.

Travel with manager to collect LiDAR data in support of Positive Train Control initiatives.

Work in a team environment and support Positive Train Control initiatives.

Requirements:

Experience in point cloud data collection and processing, particularly with LiDAR technology.

Knowledge of change management processes and quality assurance and control techniques.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to travel as needed.

Familiarity with Positive Train Control systems and initiatives is a plus.
