Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to join our team in Mentor, OH. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of relevant experience and possess a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. In this role, you will be responsible for traffic signal design, traffic plans, and providing mentorship to a team of 4-5 junior-level engineers, including both Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) professionals and one P.E. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in traffic engineering and a strong proficiency in design tools such as MicroStation Openroads, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and implementation of traffic signal projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Develop comprehensive traffic plans to optimize traffic flow and enhance safety.

Mentor and guide junior-level engineers, providing support and fostering their professional growth.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality traffic engineering solutions.

Utilize design tools, including MicroStation Openroads, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D, to create accurate and efficient traffic designs.

Bring extensive experience in traffic engineering to contribute to the success of projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.

10-15 years of experience in traffic engineering.

Proven expertise in traffic signal design and traffic planning.

Proficient in design software, including MicroStation Openroads, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.

Experience with ODoT is preferred (Open to PDoT).

PTOE Certification is a plus.
