    Manager, Middleware Integration Technologies

    Summary

    As the Manager of Middleware Integration Technologies, you will provide leadership and subject matter expertise in the implementation, ongoing support, and strategic direction of Middleware integration technologies across both production and non-production environments. Reporting to senior IT leadership, this role involves overseeing a team of Middleware specialists, ensuring high-quality technical guidance, and managing the full lifecycle of Middleware services.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    Lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of 3rd party Middleware software components on various operating systems, ensuring optimal performance and security. Utilize deep expertise in Middleware products to guide the design and development of applications, advising on best practices and innovative solutions. Oversee the configuration and maintenance of production, development, and testing environments, guaranteeing the continuous availability of application services. Develop and implement complex automation scripts to enhance operational efficiency, using tools like Jenkins and Ansible. Direct performance tuning, disaster recovery planning, and security measures for Middleware technologies, aligning with business continuity and compliance objectives. Troubleshoot and resolve advanced configuration and support issues, providing expert guidance to both production support and development teams. Author and maintain comprehensive procedural and troubleshooting documentation for Middleware technologies. Lead and contribute to the execution of complex projects, driving the adoption of industry best practices and new technology selections. Manage the Middleware team, defining roles, responsibilities, and performance metrics, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Qualifications

    Proven problem-solving expertise and the ability to operate independently. Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under management direction. Commitment to being on call as needed, demonstrating flexibility and resilience. High confidence in technical abilities and deep knowledge of Middleware solutions. Excellent crisis management skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision. Effective communication skills, both written and oral. Technical Skills

    Comprehensive knowledge of systems administration, change management, J2EE application services, message-oriented Middleware, and web-based technologies. Proficiency in ITIL best practices, scripting, coding, network technologies, CI/CD tools, cloud-native applications, microservices support technologies, file transfer protocols (including SFTP), and encryption technologies (SSL/TLS, PKI Infrastructure management). Familiarity with security controls applicable to software technologies. Education and Experience

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. At least 7 years of experience in a distributed, multi-platform environment, with a minimum of 3 years focused on supporting Middleware technologies. Leadership experience in a Middleware or related IT function is highly desirable. Certificates or Licenses

    Cloud certification is highly valued.
