Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to architectural design.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and coordinate independent work requiring judgment, initiative, and experience in the application and adaptation of architectural techniques.
• Coordinate technical issues with other disciplines, customer organizations, or projects.
• Expertise and guidance in architectural design, and the resolution of architectural technical, code, regulatory, and safety issues.
• Manage special tasks and provide leadership, training, and consultation to co-workers.
• Conduct construction document reviews as required.
• Assist in the preparation of task estimates; perform studies and prepare analysis as required.
• Interface with other design/construction disciplines, customers, as necessary.
• Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor of Architecture with a combined 5 years’ professional architectural experience (nuclear preferred) in relevant design/field experience required.
• Registered Architect with current state registration. National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) preferred.
