Qualifications:

Accredited four-year degree or global equivalent in an engineering field.

Sixteen years of work-related experience.

Recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required.

Effective communication skills.

Job-related technical knowledge.

Attention to detail and time-consciousness.

Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability, and cost of materials.

Practical field experience.

Intermediate computer skills including word processing, email, spreadsheets, and electronic presentation programs.

U.S. Citizenship required.

Experience in performing hand and computer calculations for structural elements.

Familiarity with structural design software such as STAAD, STAADPro, and RISA3D.

Intermediate knowledge of Mathcad.

Experience in analyzing complex structures, wind and seismic loading, dynamic analysis, and computer modeling.

Familiarity with vendor drawing review and engineering drawing checking.

Basic knowledge of blast design.

Responsibilities:

Provide administrative processes, technical knowledge, and direction.

Ensure technical accuracy in project execution.

Lead assigned projects or perform engineering assignments.

Develop and review estimates, schedules, progress reports, and specifications.

Participate in procurement, permitting, and subcontracting activities.

Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve problems.

Provide guidance and supervision to other leads and mentor less experienced engineers.

Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems.

Manage and lead large projects, from set-up to project close-out.
