We are seeking a dedicated Inventory Control Handler with forklift experience to join our team in Baton Rouge. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a Team First mindset and a commitment to excellence, thriving in a fast-paced environment. This role involves accurately managing inventory movements of packaging and raw materials to support our production schedule and maintain precise inventory records.

Rotating 10-hour shifts (5:45AM - 4:15PM, 3:45PM - 2:00AM) or Rotating 12-hour shifts (5:45AM - 6:15PM, 5:45PM - 6:15AM) Rate: $16 - $18/hour

Responsibilities: Physically and systematically move and stage materials for manufacturing operations using scan guns. Utilize IQMS and Excel schedules to determine materials needed for staging. Ensure compliance with forklift safety measures and maintain awareness at all times. Stage all lines with required job materials before the start of work orders. Read and utilize work orders and pick lists effectively. Demonstrate knowledge of FIFO and Pod Pack's material lot system. Empty designated containers, including breakroom and GPL room. Utilize radio communication effectively. Finish pallets correctly and confirm counts. Assist team members as needed and maintain good communication within the team. Keep the work environment clean and safe according to SQF Pallet Management Program

Required Skills: High School education Forklift experience (both sit down and stand up); stand-up forklift experience is a plus Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization Basic math skills Ability to follow instructions from supervisors Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Flexibility to work varying schedules including days, nights, and weekends Desire to assist others and maintain a positive attitude Excellent attendance record Preferred: Some experience in a food manufacturing environment
