Highly motivated and busy office of PM&R, Sports Medicine of Englewood, NJ specializing in an interventional pain management services is seeking a Part Time Certified Medical Assistant for 3 days a week. All benefits included. We are looking for a solutions oriented individual who is going to be a team player, who can take initiative and multi-task when needed. The candidate would ideally be experienced and proficient with electronic medical record systems, specifically Kareo, however we are willing to train. Please inquire, immediate opening! We are looking for individual who can become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

Prepares and cleans treatment rooms for patient examinations.

Interviews patients to obtain their medical history and records vital signs.

Draws blood and prepares injections.

Follows HIPAA guidelines.

Records and maintain laboratory reports, imaging reports and other test data in the patient chart.

Obtain prior authorizations for office injections and Ambulatory surgical centers (on occasion as needed.)

Properly disposes of contaminated supplies.

Assists physicians during examination by handing over instruments and materials.

Check In or Out at Front Desk

Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner

Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff

Communicate with Pharmacies and Labs for proper billing procedures

​Qualifications:

Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields

Familiarity with medical billing procedures

Strong organizational skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

CPR Certified

Knowledge of prior authorizations

Friendly demeanor

Salary: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
