    Spinrite is the largest craft yarn and sewing thread company in North America. As an industry leader focused on driving growth and execution excellence, we are looking for a Junior Buyer to join our growing Supply Chain team.

    Reporting to the Buyer, the Junior Buyer will assist in the activities of the purchasing department and implement and adhere to the purchasing policies of the organization. The incumbent will assist in securing the right items at the right time, balancing quality, and cost.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for maintaining the Purchase order systems which includes placing POS based on schedules and order points, following up for confirmations, updates, and changes, and maintaining accurate information in our ERP systems
    • Assists logistics in shipping of orders
    • Assists AP with reconciling invoices against purchase order terms
    • Review and process claims against suppliers
    • Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers by providing accurate information, timely and reliable feedback, and maintaining positive attitude and team-oriented approach to all duties and responsibilities
    • Assists the business to ensure products and services are procured in a compliant environment
    • Tracks vendor performance and publishes timely and accurate results
    • Ensures that procurement service target levels and savings objectives are achieved
    • Domestic travel up t0 10% of time may be required
    • Work in a safe manner and meet company safety requirements
    • Participate in committees indirectly or directly impacting purchasing function
    • Perform other duties as required

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of two years of experience
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
    • Ability to work well with others no matter what the situation
    • Strong computer skills in applications including Microsoft Office Suite, Visual Manufacturing or any MRP manufacturing system
    • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and any reporting environment (BW/PBI etc.)
    • Strong knowledge of a manufacturing environment and processes
    • Degree in Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management
