    OPPORTUNITY

    Spirit HR is seeking a full-time Human Resources Assistant who is self-motivated, detail oriented and customer focused to provide assistance in the day-to-day administration of various human resources programs and functions. In this role, you will assist with Spirit HR’s corporate HR activities and support its clients’ HR matters. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. This is an exciting ground floor opportunity working in a fun, fast paced and high-performance environment.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
    • Answers frequently asked questions from employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
    • Assists with corporate and client human resource functions including but not limited to background checks, drug screens, unemployment claims and E-Verify.
    • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
    • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
    • Stays abreast of new regulatory compliance to understand its impact in the PEO relationship.
    • Assists with reviewing applications and scheduling interviews for corporate positions.
    • Assists with planning and execution of events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings and employee recognition events.
    • Takes ownership of assignments; completes special assignments, projects, and other duties as required or assigned.

     EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 

    • A minimum of one year of human resources or related experience is preferred but not required.
    • Ability to communicate and interface effectively with clients, worksite employees, and team members.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn a human resource information system (HRIS) and similar computer applications.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Self-starter with strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
    • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations preferred.

     PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

    • Office setting with a moderate noise level.
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
