Job Description
A SpiritJets airframe technician assists in the oversight of a growing fleet of aircraft. You will inspect, repair, test, and perform other general tasks related to the maintenance and repair of airframe systems and components on the fleet. In addition, this position prepares and completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner. Our fleet consists of Gulfstreams, various model Hawkers, and a growing fleet of 600 & 300 series Challengers.
This position will be day shift, Monday through Friday.
Essential Job Functions
Assist in quality inspections, service, and maintenance of airframe systems and components on our fleet of aircraft
Perform troubleshooting, function testing, and repair of aircraft systems and components
Prepare various documents for proper record keeping as required by FAA regulations and SpiritJets’ policy.
Demonstrate proficiency of SpiritJets’ work order system by completing accurate and timely compliance items and corrective action statements, and creating and signing logbook entries for work performed, when necessary.
Consistently locate and use appropriate technical data and follows verbal instructions when accomplishing assigned maintenance tasks
Coordinate and communicate with outside maintenance providers during AOG situations
Communicate with Pilots, Flight Control and Management concerning aircraft status
Performs other related duties as assigned by Director of Maintenance
Job Specific Requirements
FAA Airframe and Powerplant license, valid driver’s license, ability to obtain passport
Minimum of five years aircraft maintenance experience required
Must be detail oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Computer experience – Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word a plus
