Spitz has a national practice with staffed offices in Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, and North Carolina. Spitz is currently seeking an Attorney in North Carolina to take the lead on expanding its claims and litigation practice. The key qualifications for this position will be the ability to engage clients; speak well, demonstrate empathy, and work hard. We will consider all currently licensed attorneys irrespective of GPA or experience. While employment law experience will be seen as a positive, it is not a requirement. Responsibilities: • Draft pleadings • Handle discovery • Take depositions • Participate in trials • Evaluate discrimination, sexual harassment, FMLA, overtime claims, and wrongful termination cases • Negotiate settlements • Communicate daily with staff and managers to coordinate screenings and consultations Qualifications: • Must have Juris Doctorate • Must be currently licensed to practice law in NC, awaiting NC bar results, and licensed in another state • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills • Must be able to demonstrate empathy • Must possess the ability to multi-task using advanced time management skills and demonstrate the ability to organize and prioritize work Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000 yearly
