    Behavioral Health Solutions (BHS) is hiring a Lead Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) licensed in Washington to provide direct care in our contracted Skilled Nursing Facilities. In addition to patient care, the Lead NP will mentor and train new providers, ensuring clinical excellence and supporting their transition into practice. This role will focus in the Central and Northern Washington region, alongside our team in the SeaTac area.

    Responsibilities:

    • Serve as a mentor, and guide existing providers.
    • Travel throughout the state, assisting with provider onboarding, shadowing, and training.
    • Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
    • Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
    • Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
    • Apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
    • Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

    Job Type:

    • Full-time, W2

    Requirements

    • Licensed in Washington by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus on psychiatry.
    • Licensed by the Washington Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA)
    • 3+ years of Geri Psych Experience.
    • 3+ years providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.

    Skills

    • Basic computer knowledge.
    • Experience with EMR/EHR Systems (Athena I, a plus).
    • Excellent written communication.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Flexible, organized, and functions under stressful situations.
    • Fluency in Spanish is a plus!

    Pay:

    • $150,000 - $170,000 annually
    • Compensation determined based on pay model preferred, experience, and licensure.
