About the Role:
Atomic Filament is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Spooling Machine Operator to join our growing team in Kendallville, IN. This is a hands-on manufacturing role where you'll play a key part in producing high-quality filament products that customers rely on every day. Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and monitor spooling machines to wind filament onto spools accurately and efficiently
Inspect finished spools for quality, consistency, and proper tension throughout the production run
Monitor material feed and adjust machine settings to maintain product specifications
Track and record production output, waste, and any equipment issues in production logs
Follow all workplace safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals
Requirements:
Prior experience operating spooling, winding, or similar industrial machinery preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control standards
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor machine adjustments
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Ability to read and follow work orders, production schedules, and safety guidelines
